A Gem of a Challenge 2

This week there is a sketch to follow and if you don't own any pink gem stamps there is a FREE digi image for you too! (no excuse not to enter then).

This is my take on the sketch for this week using the FREE digi image.

I've coloured the image using copics, the flowers are papermania paper flowers coloured using copics, the papers are free from a magazine and the card candy and butterfly sentiment are craftwork cards.

Right off to the shops now, need to eat....lol

Turned out OK....

......my card class that is, I had to cancel doing it at the church hall due to the lack of response but ended up with 5 peeps anyway so held it at my house instead and it was a really lovely class:) This is what we made;

3 male themed cards and a gift box. I also did the 2,4,6,8 box as a little extra in Easter colours and filled it with sweets but as usual forgot to take a pic. (clown!) The ladies really enjoyed the class and I had a new lady too (so that was a bonus.)

Right off to watch the final of Dancing On Ice.

Oh No!....

....I just made this card for my son's friend as it's his birthday today only to be informed by my seven year old "mum his names Cameron" aaaah!!!! Only just managed to be able to cover over the wrong name (few!) I was so pleased with it too, showing it off to my boys (looking like a fool....lol) Ah well, all's well that ends well and he probably wont even notice the card just the contents.....lol!

Just realized I can enter this in the challenge over at Stamp With Us as the theme this week is "male cards".

Thanks for stopping by and have a lovely weekend:)

Christening Card

Made this for my cousins little girl Mollie Ann, she gets christened on Sunday and hubby has been asked to be God father (now he thinks he's special.....lol.) I felt a bit out of my depth because for the last few months all I seem to use are SU products and I kind of didn't know where to start but it all came together in the end:) (relief!) The photo was actually part of the invitation (which is no more....lol) I thought it would make a nice keepsake for her.

All products used are DCWV and the ribbon is from my stash, not a mere morsel of SU in site....lol

Well tomorrow I'm off to my son's school for a pamper day "Better Together Day" different people are coming into school to promote what's available in the local community (further education wise) and there's going to be lots of beauty and nicety's going on and lunch too (woohoo!) Well hope you're all looking forward to the weekend and have a good one too!

Retirement Card and More....

I can't believe how many cards I have made and not posted. This is one I made a few weeks back, a lady in my hubby's office asked me to, it's a retirement card for her boss who is a barrister and I tried so hard to make a themed one but just couldn't find anything suitable, so went with my ever reliable flight of the butterfly set (it never fails.)

And this one I made last August when my cousin and his wife had their first baby.

And yes there's more....lol

This little set I made to send some ATC's to one of my blogging buddies Liz. The little box which is the perfect size for ATC's is a free download from Lauren Meaders new website, sorry I can't remember what it's called but you will find it through her blog. Well won't bore you will any more just yet...lol

Thanks for looking

Spring Clean!

No not the house....lol Over at A Passion for Papertrey the challenge is to spring clean your craft stash and make a card using something you bought because you soooo needed it but after a year of buying it....lol you still haven't used it! (sound familiar?) Well that's exactly what I did with this stamp set and I think I've only used it now to participate in the challenge...lol, so here's my card and my fingers are crossed!

Nappy Cake!

I'm absolutely delighted with this little creation, I have seen so many made by various people and have been dying to have ago, so when my cousin became a dad for the first time there was a pretty good excuse to make one. They really are so easy to do and yet look so fab! I did actually get it all packaged up by my local florist but forgot to take a photo (story of my life....lol).

Thanks for stopping by, I'm truly grateful:)

Thank you!

Just thought I'd share these with you, they are my little thank you's to the ladies in my stampin'up Stampers 8 club (couldn't quite manage 10....lol) just to say how much I appreciate their commitment and orders of course....lol. Inside instead of choccies I thought it would be nice if I put some SU stamps, so I had a few spare sets of SAB stamps and split them between the ladies so everyone got to enjoy them. When they opened them they just expected chocolates and were delighted to find stamps instead.

Thank you ladies!

Chat, Craft & Cakes....

....well what more could girls ask for?.....lol Had another fab girly night with Nicci sadly Keren couldn't make it this time but not to worry because there will be plenty more and our numbers are growing as both Nicci and Keren are now SU mummies and have downline's who will also be joining us:) (yay!) So amongst the chatting and cake eating we did actually manage to make a few little projects (surprisingly...lol).

This is Nicci's card, unfortunately I couldn't quite get the hang of the flower and so I decided to make a ribbon rose instead but if you pop over to Nicci's blog you will see how it should really look (her flowers are much better).

And these are the two I contributed, I am just so in love with flight of the butterfly.

Sorry for the lack of posting lately, will try to be a better blogger:)
