May Class

This time I remembered to take a couple of pics of my class and what they made. I had 5 ladies attend and it was just nice - couldn't actually fit any more in....lol! They all thoroughly enjoyed it and are looking forward to the next one which will be using the "True Friend" stamp set which has been hugely neglected by me :(
I think we probably ran over the 2 hours to about 3......lol, we were having too much fun!

And these are some of the projects they made, unfortunately the other ladies left before I could photograph their makes.

Woohoo!

We got a new camera, couldn't really do without one, I mean a girl needs to photograph her work!....lol

This little one I made for the challenge over at a Passion for Papertrey, the theme was to make a card or project using your favorite colour and of course mine is pink, pink and pink! The papers I've used to make the little flower are free samples available on the Papertrey Ink website (try before you buy) and they are called pretty pastels, ink is vintage cream, card is kraft & sweet blush, button & twine PTI, sentiment is everyday classics, swirl stamp is Autumn Leaves and border punch is Martha Stewart and if you look closely I have sprayed it with Glimmer Mist (oh I do love this product.)

Thank you for stopping buy and reading my blog, I soooo appreciate it :)

Commissoned!

I would have uploaded this card onto my blog anyway but as it happens I didn't really have much choice, our camera has given up and this was the last card I photographed with it :( My son tried taking some piccs for me on his phone but they wouldn't upload onto the pc, "sods law!" I've even managed to make a card for a challenge, looks like that's the end of that then, OH BUM!!! Don't you just hate it when that happens :( Well make the most of this one guys because it could be a while (OMG I hope not!)

Take care the weekends nearly here :)

Commissioned....

Just a quick post, this is a card I was asked to make for a lady in my hubby's office, she turned 50 and went to Disney in Florida to celebrate so this seemed pretty appropriate :)

Thanks for visiting,

Sorry no Blogging....

I've been doing what most of you do a lot of the time "working" (aahhhhhh) OMG it's killing me! I'm registered with my local council for clerical supply work and they rang me last week with a job, 5 days a week (30 hrs), now I know it's not a lot compared to what some of you probably work but it's been 12 years since I worked that many hours (OMG!....lol) and it's a shock to the system believe me (can't stop sleeping) having said that I will be off next week for half -term (hooray!) hopefully I will recharge my batteries and be raring to go the week after. I have my fingers crossed they like me so much that they want me to stay, I absolutely love it. Well that's my excuse for the lack of blogging, feeble I know, but, oh and apart from our camera has given up on us so can't take any pics (nightmare!)
Yesterday my nephew was 15 and I have been sooo tired all week I had to buy him a card (shame on me!) The same nephew goes swimming and is doing extremely well, last weekend he just missed out by 4/10ths of a second on holding the national title for the 100m breast stroke in his age group - we are just sooo proud of him, if he wins it next year he can compete for the british championships (woo hoo!) so watch this space peeps :)

Any way must go, got dishes to wash and kids to bath....lol

Milk Carton

I have wanted to make one of these for so long and just never got around to it but finally, I did and thank you to Sarah Jane for her fab tutorial on this. These make great gift boxes as they are such a good size and so easy to make.

Just a quick post tonight, thanks for stopping by and hope you're all having a lovely weekend.

Take care

Dot Dot Dot!

I have been so rubbish at posting projects made using my stash from the Mini Catty and it's nearly 2 months old (OMG!) This is a card I made using the Dot Dot Dot background stamp and I just love how it's turned out (I adore polka dots!)

The colours are v.vanilla, certainly celery and always artichoke, the ink is certainly celery and I just love those retro flower punches. The image is one I picked up at the Aintree show, don't even know who it's by :(

Right off to finish the cleaning ;)

Tea for Two!

Firstly sorry for the lack of posts lately, I was trying to be a good blogger and post regularly but somehow I went a stray (eek!) Not only have I not blogged I haven't really found much time to craft either (what's happening!) I did however find time to visit the "Happy Stampers" stamp
festival yesterday at Port Sunlight and picked up a few bits and pieces (as you do ;) and I actually made this card about a week ago and have only just managed to take a photo - how sad :( So I am entering this card in the challenge over at A Passion for Papertrey were the theme is to make a friendship card. I am now lucky enough to own 3 PTI stamp sets (woohoo!) this one "Tea for Two" being my latest addition, it's just lovely and comes with so many different sentiments.

Hope you all have a good week:)

Wedding Invitation Swap

Just thought I'd pop these on. I made them to join in with a swap on the ILWS forum, we had to design a wedding invite that would be easy to replicate in large numbers and this is my take. I did receive some lovely ones back - thank you ladies ;)

Flight of the Butterfly

I was blog hopping a few days ago, well, could be even a week ago now....lol and I came across a card and the background was made using a butterfly stamp and a skeleton one that matched not unlike our SU set Flight of the Butterfly, so I thought, I can do that and this is the end result. It's not too bad but I think had the butterfly been a bit smaller it would have had a better effect, all said and done I don't think it looks too bad.

And on that note I am going to enter it for the challenge over at Stamp With Us were the theme is "Birthday."

Well I think we've been pretty lucky with the weather over the bank holiday, it could have been worse, hope you all had a good one,

take care :)

Trust Me!

Only I could arrange a card class on "bank holiday" weekend when everyone is either away or doing something (what a clown) and that's exactly what happened today with my class (aaah!) Well 3 ladies said they were coming but only 2 turned up and 3 said they would still like to come to the class and so we have rescheduled for next weekend, so all is not lost, we live and learn ;)

Well this is what the ladies made today and thoroughly enjoyed it and that's what counts plus I got another order so it was worth it :)

We used the flower fusion as I sometimes think it gets forgotten about and the colours are fab especially when they are teamed with the matching cardstock.

Well enjoy the rest of the long weekend peeps,
